The Rubble Prophecy

Rubble by David Arthur Walters

"I fear very much that the Jews are like all underdogs. When they get on top they are just as intolerant and as cruel as the people were to them when they were underneath. I regret this situation very much because my sympathy has always been on their side." President Truman. TRUMAN, McCullough (1992)

The 1998 New York Times Bestseller for 97 weeks, The Art of Happiness, A Handbook for Living, co-written by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who fled Chinese oppression in Tibet in 1959 and resigned his political leadership in 2011, and Howard C. Cutler, M.D., a psychiatrist who appeared on the Oprah show and was billed by Wikipedia as a “Happiness Expert,” reiterates the Dalai Lama’s long-standing ideological faith in the fundamental goodness of humankind:

“Over the past few years,” wrote Cutler, “the Dalai Lama’s view of the underlying compassionate nature of human beings seems to be slowly gaining ground in the West, although it has been a struggle, disputing the modern scientific notion of thinkers like George Santayana, who said that, “dig a little beneath the surface and you’ll find a ferocious, persistent, proudly selfish man,” and Freud’s view, who concluded that, “The inclination to aggression is an original, self-subsisting, instinctual disposition.” But Cutler disagrees, noting that, “In recent years, however the tide appears to be turning on that profoundly pessimistic view of humanity, coming closer to the Dalai Lama’s view of our underlying nature as gentle and compassionate.”

The Dalai Lama, Cutler recalls, had investigated human nature for many years. His simple theme shone throughout his week-long presentation in the Arizona desert,: “The purpose of our life is happiness.”

What is happiness? There is no good absent evil, and few in number are the thinkers who venture beyond good and evil into what always is. Being happy, whatever happiness might be, is presumably the greatest good, so doing whatever makes one happy is a practical endeavor. Therefore the Dalai Lama merely restated the optimistic attitude of modern, practical science. Indeed, useful science is optimistic in its faith that nature can be used to the greatest happiness of the greatest number, despite the duality of the willful in-dividual, divided within yet altogether against the reality that eventually infringes after birth on his naive sense of omnipotence in the womb, wherein, like the godlike existence remembered and projected, It has to do nothing at all to be absolutely pleased with existence without resistance. Yet, ironically, there is no existence without resistance once created, or born into sin, so to speak. No one can be absolutely happy again, once given anxious existence, except in non-being, wherefore the will to live forever turns against itself and others, wishing for eternity in “death” or nothingness. That is only natural overall since life is a death sentence. Each person is ostensibly defined by relation to others, hence divided within against himself. He learns to love others who might be happy to destroy him if he does not cooperate in their endeavor to be absolutely happy. To defend ourselves against definition as subjugated, unhappy individuals, we celebrate Freedom and organize ourselves, in the name of hate-others based group-love, into war parties, and, eventually, into warring nations based on common native characteristics, and, beyond that, into international organizations. To that end, to end all wars in global order where all can be relatively happy, we developed increasingly harmful instruments of war, finally capable of destroying a world that is, otherwise, like the sun and the universe, doomed anyway. We have the development of those instruments of death to thank for the technological progress of our civilization, presumably the highest or happiest civilization to date, itself doomed, so let us be happy with what we have and struggle to be one big happy family although no one, to the best of our knowledge, chose to be born here.

Now, then, given the prehistorical evidence and historical precedents of human violence, ranging from the murder of loved ones at home to tribal warfare and world wars, it is surprising that the Dalai Lama, who is an educated man, was, as he would say, really surprised in 2014 by the seven-week Gaza War killing thousands of mostly Gazans, not to mention the 3,000 Palestinians previously killed in the Second Intifada of 2,000, a mere year after his book was published. Nevertheless, his expectations had been great and his hopes high, and we are happy about that even though we might believe his book is spiritual rubbish. He described the Gaza war as “unimaginable” and “really very sad,” and “unexpected” from people who claim religious principles.

Indeed, religious people of the Holy  Books have a long reputation for killing one another religiously, so much so that we suspect religion has nothing to do with the millions murdered, called it “killed” if you wish, over the centuries, even though Communist China and Tibet blamed religion and banned its practice for many years. Anyway, Israel was shelling homes in 2014, 3,000 of which were destroyed or damaged, along with mosques, hospitals and schools, and one child was being killed every two hours. In sum, 34 Israelis and 690 Palestinians had been killed so far. (Central Tibet Administration 2014-07-24).

Oh, 2014 was nothing compared to 2023, just look at the rubbish left in the wake of the bombing, witness the pillaging, kidnapping, beheading, raping and robbing. About 1,500 Israelis and an estimated 15,000 Palestinians have been killed as of this writing (30,000 as of Feb. 19) , and 100,000 of the bereaved confined in the “open air prison” of Gaza will probably die of disease and starvation if Israel has its way and refuses to release the million or so inmates willingly governed by Sunni terrorists who might slip out with them and ravage God’s people. What else can be done except to confine and exterminate the infestation while destroying everything it indoctrinates and feeds on and uses for shields, even innocent children?

Yes, Israel has no plan but to degrade the entire area into rubble, to flesh and flush out and kill every member of Hamas as thousands of imprisoned civilians are killed in the process; let the aftermath be damned to a few people sitting in rags in the rubble and moaning Oh Woe is Me

Yet have no fear, for the theory of creative destruction can be found in Isiah 58:12: “You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew, rebuild the foundations out of your past. You’ll be known and those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community livable again.” That is, livable for the Chosen People.

So the world now witnesses an example of the End Time, the Precedent to Utopia, in the rubble in Gaza, where Israel has imprisoned hundreds of thousands of Palestinians; a prison ruled, unsurprisingly, by a brutal gang named Hamas, a glossed over acronym connoting violent struggle. Bloody revenge was sought time and again by the Palestinians for the taking of their land, and revenge was had, as everyone knows, in a most horrific manner on 7 October 2023 Anno Domini. The Israelis want not only justice but revenge, and the brutality is not surprising but holy. Is it not prophesied that the locus of the Apocalypse will be in the Holy Land?

As Jewish bombs and tanks supplied by Judeo-Christian Americans crush Gaza into bloody rubble and kill thousands of civilians, the old-time patriotic patriarchal religion of militant Judaism stands charged by its enemies of resembling the worst enemy the Jews ever had, besides themselves: the Nazis of the fatherland, who were led by their respective Fuehrer or native folk father. But the political survival of the small Jewish state still depends, like every Jewish state before it, on the almighty graces of a world superpower, in this case the neo-Roman Empire of the United States. Nowadays a religious or ethnic “state” is an anachronistic state. For instance, we have several ethnic, native or national identities in the United States of America, but the nature of the state itself is for good reasons not “The United White Anglo-Saxon Christian States of North America” governed by a racist militant clan.

We recall for pretext that a “Jewish” state was whetted after the Second World War on the legendary Rock of Ages in Zion by Jewish terrorists, so-called in the United States until they were conveniently dubbed “freedom fighters.” The new state cut from Palestine land was named “Israel,” meaning El, the Hebrew ruler over his Hibirus clan that naturally struggled against government. Mythic Moses reputedly ordered his people fleeing from Egypt to render the invaded holy land wholly theirs by holocaust, offering by bloody murder everyone then resident to the Lord while destroying all their property as well. They mercifully failed to do so, wherefore the struggle goes on unto Doomsday: Dom being the Lord Almighty. We are offered testimony that the promise was fulfilled for some, and shall be fulfilled once again for all at the last moment in the final agonizing hour. In the last judgment or doom the truth of ambiguous Dom shall be known and justice done accordingly.

What must be done in the interim, other than wage bloody war for peace in death? Yes, life is a death sentence, but why not make pleasant the time we live? We want a reasonable answer, not a foolish one, in respect to this particular antagonism.

I said long ago that Israel should unilaterally declare peace, recognize, like others, the State of Palestine, pull out of Palestinian territory, defend its border, bolster internal security, let the Palestinians apply visas and passports, and, if the bombers slip through and kill thousands of Israelis, take no retaliatory action whatsoever. That would require sacrifice, forgiveness or “letting go” of historic hostility. It would not be the forgive yourself, feel-good or therapeutic forgiveness of popular psychology, the forgiveness that, for example, allows one to forgive a criminal before executing him. No, it would be the forgiveness of something given, something sacrificed, something suffered for peace, in conjunction with reasonable self-defense. And that evidence of Love would be a Moral Beacon unto the world.

It may be too late for Israel. It is fighting a ghost and making a case for its own destruction in doing so. I myself would not worry about the loss of a misplaced state, because we are all Jews though many do not know it. I expect more rubble, perhaps World War III. Yes, I expect more of the same, of men sitting in rags in the rubble of destroyed cities, and, like my father, who suffered the Great Depression and World War II, I do not want to live to see and suffer it. I am Almost Dead Already yet I still love myself enough to love people.

The people of the United States can afford to love everybody. We have already had our revolution, civil war, world wars, and interventional wars. “We” are prosperous and powerful. We do not mind providing allies, as determined by our leaders, with material support, but quagmires have taught the US some hard lessons. Our young, according to the education we have provided, naturally want to fight for causes, to be like the super-heroes and anti-heroes they see in media, but the majority of our people have grown selfish, fat, dumb and happy, reputedly effeminate and effete, and unwilling to sacrifice themselves to foreign interests.

Nevertheless, nearly half the population is unhappy with the material progress associated with happiness because matter is temporal and does not make people happy. They want something else, exactly what they are not sure of because nothing and only nothing lasts forever. Subconsciously, they are disappointed and angry, and they want blood. They want to destroy the rational government lording over them, and replace the leadership, whose crimes have been legalized, with real criminals. That sort of anxious internal state in the past has been temporarily resolved by waging war on some common enemy characterized as a diabolical god. The rabble would have the world turned into rubble, leaving the bereaved survivors to take out the rubbish.

Wherefore I forecast Doom, and I want my prophesy proved wrong; that is what prophecy is for: prophecy is a warning. I am Almost Dead Already. I care little for myself. I fear for those I leave behind.
